Sentein is a 1h45 drive from toulouse airport.
If you come by plane: take the airport shuttle („navette aeroport“) to Toulouse main station. (9€)
(it might be worth downloading the sncf app on your mobile phone and buy the ticket there, this saves you from queuing at the ticket machine.)
from BOUSSENS you take a bus to SAINT GIRONS. (2€) i’ll attach the bus timetable to this mail, it’s a bit tricky to find it online. (a bit tricky to read it, too. LàV means Monday to Friday, SD+JF means weekend and public holidays)
from SAINT GIRONS it’s still a 25 minutes ride by car and there is no public transport.
so…
if you feel adventurous, hitchhike. it’s very easy, because – as everybody knows that there is no public transport – people stop very openly here and it’s easy to get a lift. CASTILLON would be the direction you want to go.
otherwise, we will organize a pick-up service. i’ll come and get you by car.
As you see, it’s quite a journey. the last bus from BOUSSENS leaves at 20:35 – so your flight should not arrive later than 18:00, otherwise you will be stuck somewhere.
If you can afford it, you might want to build arrival-groups and take a rental car from Toulouse airport.
How else can you get to Toulouse, apart from plane?
Atm there are strikes almost every week. and the first train that gets cancelled is the night train. You won’t know until 48 hours in advance. In this case, the sncf will refund you your ticket, but just with a useless voucher. you can’t take another train for the same price. and all the other trains will be exorbitantly expensive or sold out anyway. Normally strike days are tuesday or thursday, but who knows… if you chose to come by train, you should feel a bit adventurous, too.
By flixbus. they are not affected by strikes. and pretty cheap. did it a couple of times, it’s not that bad.
