What a fantastically foolish year we had in 2013! The launch of our 4-days festivals and playing and performing with so many of you wonderful fools!
We are very excited about our plans for 2014…. with many exciting new ventures unfurling from within The Nomadic Academy for Fools. The re will be many opportunities to fool around with us this year and we look forward to welcoming those of you foolish enough to dive in deeper with us. We will be announcing more details of how you will be able to do that soon!
We will be announcing confirmed dates and venues very soon but a little taste of what’s in store..

Get Ready BRISTOL!
Four Days for Play from October 31st until November 3rd at the rather wonderful Hamilton House in Stokes Croft!
You’ll find us there every evening with a different show, street theatre during the day and workshops too. It will be anarchic, unpredictable and rather spectacularly foolish. See full listings and how to buy tickets here!
Summer of Fooling!
All the Nomadic Academy fools have been very busy fooling around in sunny meadows at some of the best festivals here in the UK.
Joanne Tremarco has been wow-ing audiences with her one-woman show ‘Women Who Wank’. Currently on a run of shows at The Edinburgh Free Fringe where she’s been listed as a ‘highly recommended show’ and getting rave reviews!
You can catch her at COWGATEHEAD 65 Cowgate Edinburgh EH1 from 3rd – 21st August at 10.30pm.
Dick and Fanny have been continuing that universal dialogue – The Fig Leaf Wars’ around about the country at various festivals and can currently be found on the streets of Edinburgh at The Royal Mile acoustic Stage beween 2.30pm and 3pm daily.
Danny Mullins has been getting juicy with audiences in Edinburgh with The Cabaret-ness! A veritable foolish feast of improvised folked-up fun and frolicks, spur of the moment songwriting and eclectic musical mischief! Catch the show daily at The VOODOO ROOMS -The Ball Room (Free Fringe Venue No.469) at 1.45pm

4 Play in Bristol!
Next Up! – The 4 Play festival will be arriving in Bristol on October 31st! With a suitably spooky Halloween opening night of “Witches Who Wank”, we’ll be fooling around for 4 nights at the rather fantastic venue of Hamilton House.
Thursday October 31st – ‘Witches Who Wank’ Friday 1st November – Jonathan Kay – ‘FOOL!’ Saturday 2nd November – The Penis Monologues Sunday 3rd November – The Cabaret-ness!
There will also be street theatre and guest appearances from Dick and Fanny in The Fig Leaf Wars and Tor TV will be broadcasting live throughout the festival.
All shows doors 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
All events are held at The Event Space, Hamilton House.

Gosh, Dick and Fanny of The Fig Leaf Wars do seem to have made a name for themselves. Luckily that was the kind of viral episode they were happy about. You can hear them talk about their brush with fame here!

Witches Who Wank
Still glowing from the success of our ‘Fooling Around’ in Glastonbury, we’re getting all very excited about simmering plans for our next festival, this time in Bristol. We’ll be announcing venue and full details soon, but can let you know that the festival will open on October 31st with a Halloween special of ‘Witches Who Wank.‘ Get your broomsticks ready!

What a fantastically foolish week of festivities!! We thoroughly enjoyed the Four Days for Play festival. So much so, we’ve decided to do it all again, next stop Bristol from October 31st – November 3rd. Venue tbc.
Much news off the back of the festival! We’ll be posting photos and footage soon! Dick and Fanny managed to get themselves in the national news! You can see the story here!

May 18th 2013: Meet Dick and Fanny in The Fig Leaf Wars!
Here’s a little interview with Dick and Fanny. Hear them talking about their involvement in, well, one of the most enduring and universal conversations of all time! We feel very honoured that Dick and Fanny will be creating some space in their busy schedule to join us for some ‘Fooling Around’ during our ‘Four Days for Play’ festival next month! Yipeee! They’ll be daily action to be had with them both out and about on the streets of Glastonbury!
May 14th 2013: Latest Festival News!
Master fool, Jonathan Kay, will be offering a one-day workshop from 10am – 5pm on Friday 14th June at The Assembley Rooms. ‘Know One’s Fool’ is a one-day workshop to dive into the world of The Fool, your Fool. Fools are found in all of us, in this workshop you may find you can crack yourself open and uncover you inner fool.
As a one-off event we are offering places at this workshop at a ‘pay-what-you-can’ rate. Our suggested donation is £50. What value can you put on finding your fool? You may wish to pay more, or less. We leave that to you!: http://knowonesfool.eventbrite.co.uk
