Stand Up Reality Workshop
‘Stand Up Reality’ are a group of three women who met during Jonathan Kay’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ project. Besides this background in ‘Fooling’ we also have experience between us of ‘Process Work,’ Butoh dance, Noh, and Physical Theatre.
In performance we create play that comes from the stories we receive in the moment. We trust that these will evolve because of a need to be told whether they come from an archetypal space, our own lives, or the audience. Indeed we aim to re-connect the three and enable the seeing of a true and vibrant collective reality.
In a workshop setting we’d be seeking to create a supportive “tender” space for participants to begin to learn some of the basic techniques and “attitudes” that we use to open and enter that space. From here participants can step forward and sense the personal power and magic that comes from seeing yourself at the centre of the story.
